The world uses all of a dating system based on Christianity, with Jesus’ birth if begindatum.Hoe is not a violation of church and state? I do not know what calendar you are talking aobut, but mine starts 7 days after the birth of Jesus. But even that date is not accurate was discovered in a number of French interpretations of the New Testament.

Blame Augustus Caesar. With the Julian system, the birth of Christ, three years before the date of that year you propose should be 0. The issue of separation of church and state is a U.S. constitutional issue, not a Caesar. China has its own calendar as well as many other cultures and religions. I think it would be crazy for the validity of the time based on religious principles in the Supreme Court or World Court demand. The case would be laughed out the back.
